Reeves Street opening soon
The care first group is launching a new hub located in Bloxwich, Walsall, to provide educational provision to young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
Located within a busy industrial area, the converted premises are set up to provide vocational learning opportunities in woodwork, horticulture and other work based projects. Learners will experience continued learning in a real work environment enabling them to gain in confidence and become more independent.
CEO Chris Winter says;
We have been inundated with enquiries from local authorities and special schools desperate for work based opportunities for young adults leaving special education and needing a real work environment to transition into. The project has taken some time to set up but the management team are wholly committed to make this new hub provide a real difference to the Walsall community
Chairman Neil Thorogood expressed;
This is a really big commitment for the group, but one which we believe will make a tremendous difference to young adults with learning disabilities across Walsall. We have received support and encouragement from Walsall educational and social services departments, Walsall NHS and a number of local councillors.
